There is a well establish link between gardens and art .

Perhaps , therefore , I should not have been quite so surprised , when I visitedEdinburgh ’s National Gallery of Modern Artrecently , to see this artistry and garden link exemplified again .

In this case it arises because the neo - Greco-Roman gallery construction ( and there are two of them – Modern 1 and Modern 2 ) , are themselves limit in beautiful garden .

Below , you may see my daughters relaxing in the retro Acapulco chair in front of the farseeing border outside the cafe , which at the time of ourvisitwas themed with the silver grey , blue and purpleness of Allium , Cardoons and Forget - me - nots .

There is also a picture of the a Euphorbia mellifera ( bottom right wing ) , one of my very favouriteplantsand the largest case I ’ve ever seen .
