Brrrr ! It ’s bamboozle here in Connecticut and my Californian friends are bragging that their rose wine are bloom . Grrr . Not only can you garden in flip - flops year - round of drinks in the temperate coastal climate of Southern California , you could savor blooms like razz of paradise and rose in December .
No no , I ’m not envious . They will be pull out the pruning hook before long . It ’s nearly time to trim up their never - dormant babe and I hope they prick up there hired hand . Okay , that sounds a teensy bit spiteful , really , I ’m happy for them and they do not rub it in . In fact , they are benevolent . My costly childhood friend RoseAnn send me a slight surprisal sun in the mail . Last night I opened a packet from her satisfy with bright pollyannaish blooms . She retrace a dozen paper roses out of coffee filter and hand - painted them with watercolors .
Now , I am quite the efflorescence snob and please – do n’t even cite artificial . But earnestly , these handwriting - made beauties are a work of nontextual matter ! I would even go - so - far as to say wedding bouquet worthy .

So , while RoseAnn is strolling around her roseate garden in December , I ’m smile at my ever cheerful redolence . It make stock-still fingers in the good morning and wearing a beany to bed almost sufferable .
