Yesterday I showed youthe little bean speckle I dug ; today we ’ll calculate planting yield trees in Georgia .
role of Georgia share some mood similarity with North Florida . My relatives live on the west side of the land in some rough pine land that ’s prone to drought . I ’d say they ’re a pretty solid USDA Growing Zone 8 , mean it ’s too far north for citrus fruit ( with the exception of trifoliate orange … andmaybe kumquat ) and it ’s too far to the south for most really good cherries , apple and pears .
as luck would have it , I sprout a few plants in my nursery that can handle the cold and the oestrus . I did n’t have any higher iciness - hour peach trees ( mine are UF selections ) and I only had one diminished pecan tree in stock ( you need two types for pollenation ) , so I brought two of my favorite Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree : aJapanese persimmonand two Illinois Everbearingmulberries .

In the middle of the mental picture is the persimmon ; on the left and right edges are two small mulberry tree . you’re able to also see the dome layer we dug , mark off by some reclaimed blocks I found at the edge of the pace .
Here ’s a close - up of the persimmon in its newfangled home :
Fortunately for the trees , there ’s also a Starbucks nearby and my new sister ( whose machine I rode up in ) is a deep brown junkie . She picked up a handbag of flat coat along with her ice coffee ( they offer the grounds for liberal as compost for gardeners : praise to Starbucks ! ) and I dumped those around the tree diagram after planting .
