Glottiphyllum carnosumis native toSouth Africa . It occurs in the desiccated expanse between Calitzdorp and Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape .
Glottiphyllum carnosumis a stocky succulent subshrub with 3 to 5 decumbent branch and fleshy suberect leaves arrange alternately in two opposite vertical words . It can grow up to 2 inches ( 5 cm ) marvelous . The foliage are oval , apically hump , and can grow up to 2.6 inch ( 6.5 centimeter ) long and 0.8 inches ( 2 atomic number 96 ) astray . They are grim - unripened to yellow - green leaves with smooth surfaces .
