Turning a new yard into a garden

Today ’s pic come from Debby de Groot of Toronto , who is sharing some images of her “ secret garden ” tucked away in a secluded corner of her house . This is only her 2nd year in the sign , but the garden is already depend pretty great , because she ’s sagely using exciting , found plants and carefully sum up new plantings to bring in more color and stake .

As you come in from the east side of the house and start the logic gate , my secret garden is revealed as it splosh steeply down .

I am operate with some ancient plants ( such as this massive rise bush ) and introducing newfangled perennials and Japanese maples(Acer palmatum , zone 5–8 ) , with a dash of color from yearly , but I am trying to keep the garden as close as potential to the unbelievable nature beyond us .

I have also started floodscaping by introduce a dry flow bed to move the water down and away from the house to the pond area .

Finally , I can pose under the covered deck to contrive and dream about next summertime !
