Welcome to Day 3 in Beth ’s Zakrasek ’s garden in Cedar Rapids , Iowa .
carry on her fib once again , she says,“I use absolutely no pesticide in my gardens . I rarely find insect damage , not even biff on hostas . I have decided that it is because we have so many birds who spend their summer in our yard , and we also have many batrachian and toad frog and garden serpent .
“ I have Sir Christopher Wren house all over the yard and up on our hill . A wren family nest in every one of those house every summer which think of that we have 9 wren kinsperson on our property each year . Their dieting consists wholly of insects .

“ We also have goldfinches , redbreast , cardinal , chickadees , house finches , bluebird , grey catbird , nuthatches , woodpeckers , flickers , titmice , juncos , dove , bird of Minerva , hawks , and crazy turkeys . And , of course , hummingbirds . I have seed feeders and hummingbird feeder near our patio where we can determine the activity from our kitchen tabular array or from the screened porch ”
Yup . Eschew pesticides and the birds move in and make your pesterer their meal . Common sense ! So beaming you have it , Beth . 🙂 Yet again , beautiful .
